SIMPLE, EASY-TO-USE HIGH TECH
High tech can really make life easier. Our family of versatile, high tech single channel detectors proves it yet again. USB 2.0 technology makes connectivity a breeze. The ActiveX interface easily works with most programs: including Excel, LabView, MatLab, etc. Two 16 bit ADC's digitize your signals at 375 kHz. Software controlled transimpedance gain switching optimizes S/N of your signal acquisition. The Sync feature enables a more robust digital data filtering. The unique design of the electronics accommodates a wide selection of room temperature & TE cooled photodiodes, & sandwich detectors.
EASY-TO-USE SOFTWARE
A number of application packages are included with your detector. They allow you to collect data right out of the box. You can monitor signal changes with time or take a spectral scan, once the detector is mounted on your monochromator.
Demonstration programs included with each detector show examples of code needed to address ActiveX controls from within various software platforms (Visual Basic, MatLab...). With this help, the time needed to create your own applications gets much shorter.

We have packaged all the user accessible properties and
controls into the industry standard ActiveX interface. Each instance of ActiveX displays the readings associated with its active detector. The smallest number of readings that USB 2.0 allows is 1024. All those readings are accessible to the user for analysis and display. Our ActiveX window displays the average, RMS, and peak to peak voltages associated with data taken within the chosen acquisition time window. Right clicking on the ActiveX window brings up its properties page where you can select AC or DC coupling, set the gain, choose the acquisition time window, and activate Synchronized data acquisition. Additional properties are accessible from your own software application. Please contact us for a complete list of properties.
HARDWARE
A small sampling of available detector types and sizes is listed in the ordering section. Please let us know if you need a smaller one (faster response time), larger one (easier alignment), different spectral range, or a Si/InGaAs sandwich and we will be pleased to provide you with a quotation. Just about any diode in a package up to TO8 size can be accommodated.
Listed below are devices with the most frequently ordered electronics: single ADC and room temperature detector, no TE cooling. For sandwich detectors, with individual outputs, we offer an independent second channel with its own transimpedance amplifier and ADC. Please call us for information on additional detector offerings available if the listed products do not satisfy your needs.
Our compact detectors come equipped with a number of built in mounting options. A 1/4-20 tapped hole allows for optical bench or a tripod mounting. An adapter is offered for M6 metric option. Industry standard C-mount threads and four (4) holes for 6 mm rod caging systems come with every unit; adapters for various manufacturers’ proprietary flanging systems allow easy integration into your application.
